If you have a baby 0-12 months old, please join us for Little Wigglers. Each class will provide an opportunity to connect with other caregivers and find out more about your baby’s development. . There will also be time for discussion and fun activities for parents included in every class. Classes are facilitated by Susan Hass RN

Let your child explore the world of building and constructing. This exciting program helps develop problem solving skills and fine motor skills, while getting to use tools to create their very own masterpiece!

This program is for children 2-6 years of age.

Filled with the sounds of music, children will create their very own musical instruments and explore all that makes noise! This program is for children 2-6 years of age.

Whether you are just beginning to think about it, or you have tried and are experiencing some challenges, Potty Time provides the opportunity to connect with other parents, learn tips and tricks and for children to participate in fun potty time themed activities *Registration is required. Wednesdays, January 14,21 & 28 @ 10am

BUSY BEES! This program will get your little ones up and moving!! We will have lots of fun while developing gross motor skills, with activities specifically designed for children 2 and up.

The Zumbini program is a child-focused journey into the world of music, movement and dance. Designed for children 0-4 years old and their caregiver this program includes dancing , singing and playing instruments. It focuses on energy, fun and play. The caregiver must be ready to participate and be prepared to move, dance and sing with their child. This class is being offered for FREE through our centre.

Thursdays, January 15, 22 & 29 @ 2pm

Inside Out is a program that focuses on your child’s social and emotional development. Children will have fun learning through activities that promote, self-awareness, problem solving and strategies for managing BIG emotions.

This sensory based program is for 1 & 2 year olds and will provide lots of opportunities for exploring and learning through messy play!

Greater Foothills Family Centre- Unit 106, 303 9th Ave SW, High River Come in and check out our BEAUTIFUL playroom! We always have crafts, learning centres, play areas with fun toys to explore. A brief targeted intervention in a one-to-one format that assists parents to develop parenting plans to manage behavioral challenges and skill development issues. Parents meet with one of our accredited practitioners for 3-4 sessions over a period of 4-6 weeks.

Sessions can be done in person, over the phone , Zoom or as a combination of all.

Family Transitions is a program for divorced or separated parents. It provides you new ways to support your child – and yourself – from the fallout from a family split.

Family Transitions is offered in a group with other parents, or one-on-one with one of our trained facilitators. We will discuss new ideas, techniques and strategies to help you through the day-to-day dramas and ongoing trauma of transitioning through separation or divorce. These ideas can help you cope with stress, anger and change, resolve conflict, and communicate better with your ex.

Stepping Stones is based on Triple P’s positive parenting strategies. It helps you manage problem behaviour and developmental issues common in children with disability. It also helps encourage behaviour you like, cope with stress, develop a close relationship with your child and teach your child new skills. You choose the type of Stepping Stones help based on your own needs.

Fear-Less isn’t about eliminating fear altogether – sometimes, fear protects us. Instead, it’s about giving your family a toolbox of strategies, skills, and knowledge to manage anxious feelings and stop unnecessary worrying.

We will explore how anxiety works, modeling strategies for our children, understanding and teaching the value of flexible thinking and strategies for coping and managing children’s anxiety effectively.

This is an opportunity to gather and share ideas for creating strong nurturing relationships, good communication and positive attention to help children develop. This workshop is appropriate for parents with children ages 2 to 10 years old
