The Greater Foothills Family Centre provides FREE programs and supports to families throughout our Network Area.

Our programs are focused on building resiliency and fostering community well-being for children, youth and families.

We Offer:

Parent & Child Programs for 0-6 year olds

Parent & Child Programming

These FREE programs focus on learning through play, enhancing skill development and building social connections. New programs are offered each month. Programs include:
Little Chefs ,Little Explorers ,Daily Discoveries Learn & Play Series, Curiosity Kids And many more!
We are excited to return to in person programming and we will continue to offer a selection of virtual programming as well.
Kids Club Programming

These FREE programs are designed for school- age kiddos, 7-12 years old that provide opportunities to learn about themselves and others, grow independence skills and connect with others. New programs are offered each month.
Programs include:
Kids Club Connections- Building Social Skills, Design Squad, GLOW, Inner Ninjas, Kids Kitchen, Creative Kids, Kids Club- The Great Outdoors
Outreach Programming

Our Family Centre delivers programming in a community near you across our Network Area!
Outreach Programs are located in, Black Diamond/Turner Valley, Nanton, Claresholm, Stavely and Vulcan & Vulcan County
. Check out our list of programs to find one in your area. Families from all of our communities are welcome and encouraged to register for our virtual programming options as well.
Parent Education

Parent Education programs focus on strengthening families and build on the skills parents and caregivers already have. Programs are offered one-one one and in group formats.
Programs include:
Triple P (Seminars, Seminar Teen, Primary Care, Primary Care Teen, Group, Group Teen, Enhanced, Pathways, Stepping Stones, Transitions and Fear-Less)
Kids Have Stress Too, Circle of Security, Nurturing Parenting Program, My Tween & Me, Make the Connection
Developmental Check Ups- Ages & Stages Questionnaire

The Ages & Stages Questionnaire is a tool used to check in on your child’s development. Easy to use, it can help you know what to expect at each stage and area of development from one month of age to 5 1/2 years.
